The Outdoor Recreation Map has received a prestigious award from The Public Lands Alliance for “Outstanding Public Engagement”. The award recognizes “exemplary products created in partnership by a nonprofit organization and a land management agency that advances meaningful and sustainable connections between individuals and America’s public lands.” Congratulations to the twelve participants in the project for earning this important national recognition. We owe special thanks to the creative team at the Great Smoky Mountains Association and to the mapping gurus at the Cherokee National Forest.
